School Support Services
At Inspiring Minds, we understand that learning extends beyond our center. To ensure skills are maintained and generalized, we offer direct, collaborative support within the school environment. Our School Support Services are designed to bridge therapy and education, empowering children to participate fully and confidently in their classrooms.
Classroom Observations & Consultations
Our Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or qualified therapist conducts structured observations in your child’s classroom. This allows us to:
-
Understand the classroom dynamics, routines, and expectations.
-
Identify specific environmental triggers or learning barriers.
-
Assess how the child interacts with peers and engages with the curriculum.
-
Provide evidence-based recommendations to teachers for effective classroom accommodations and strategies.
School Shadow Support (In-Class Therapist)
We provide a dedicated therapist to support your child directly within the school setting. This 1:1 support is tailored to help the child:
-
Navigate classroom routines and transitions smoothly.
-
Follow group instructions and participate in activities.
-
Apply learned social, communication, and self-regulation skills in real-time.
-
Foster increasing independence by systematically fading support as skills solidify.
Our Collaborative Approach
We work as a partner to the school. Our role is not to replace the teacher, but to supplement their efforts. We maintain open communication with teachers and staff, share insights, and align our strategies with the classroom goals to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment for your child.
The ultimate aim of our school support is to equip your child with the tools and confidence to thrive independently. We focus on building skills that promote successful inclusion, allowing every child to access education meaningfully alongside their peers.
